Official game guide
MakoBits is a mobile merge game built around a collection of 60 characters called Makos. The board is the starting point rather than the whole game: matching pieces creates higher-level objects, completed orders move progression forward, and discoveries become characters, rooms, scenes, items, powers, and relationships elsewhere in the world.
Combine equal objects on the board to produce the next evolution. Keep useful chains organized instead of filling every open tile.
Choose order goals deliberately. They turn board progress into rewards and give each merge chain a reason beyond simply making a larger piece.
New discoveries enter the Mako Archive. Each record can include a type, rarity, origin, power, ability, personality, likes, friends, and rivals.
Progress leaves the board and appears in rooms, scenes, care routines, profiles, and collectible items, connecting puzzle decisions with the wider game.
It uses both ideas, but the merge board drives progression. Merging and orders create discoveries; the collection and room systems give those discoveries identity and a place to live. Players who only want a short puzzle loop can focus on the board, while collectors can inspect all 60 records and their connections.
The current archive contains 60 named Makos across creature and artifact categories.
